All the stupid CEO’s for the airlines are biting the bullet now!!!The $1.00 has fallen so far that it will soon be cheaper to do the Heavy MTC checks here in the states!!!!!

There are more to A&P Mechanic than working for the airlines. There are also working for shops at regional airports.

Reality Check, Folks- There is NO MONEY in aircraft mechanics today. All of the major airlines,(exept American,) send 70% of maintenance outside the U.S., much of it to Mexico, to reduce costs. I earned my A%P certificates just before 9/11/01, (bad timing,) and this industry-wide shift was UNMENTIONED by the aviation trade publications, (Flying, Private Pilot, etc.,) while advertising A%P schools that cost $20,000+, (guess how much my student loan dept is,) now it’s an expensive hobby…

The problem is here in my place the government doesn’t consider our job as professional career. Which country you would ask well an island called Singapore and we are paid below the global market rate.
